Give a point mark (.) In front of File or Folder name
This way is the easiest way you can do to hide files or folders in android mobile phone without using third-party applications. You can add a point mark (.) In front of file or folder name. Example: video001.mp4. Then you add a point sign in front so that it becomes .Video.mp4. That way, files / folders are not shown in Gallery application. To change the name, you can use default Android File Manager.

Use Third-Party Applications
In addition to simple way above, in market there are many third party applications that can hide files / private folders easily and quickly. These applications include, Gallery Lock, Vaulty Free, Photo Vault, SecretVault Pro and many others. I have tried Gallery Lock. First you can download and install this application from market. Once installed, open Gallery application, then press menu and give check mark in a file or folder you want hidden. Then press share and select GalleryLock. Then select any folder and press OK. Wait until the process is complete. Once done, you've Successfull to hide your private files / folders. To access the files / folders that are hidden, you can open Gallery Lock application. You can also add a password so that other people can not open Gallery Lock carelessly.
